volunteer as marshalls

Post  martin on Wed Mar 12, 2008 8:26 pm

hi

My wife and myself have friends who race in a group called Norc (northern off road club) we often marshall at various of their races during the year and they are always looking for volunteers to be marshalls. For any of their events to take place they have to have a required number of marshalls otherwise the whole weekend could be cancelled.

You don't have to have a motor that has all the winches etc. you can turn up in any 4x4 motor and this will be fine whatever the condition and extras you have fitted to it. You will be provided with radios by norc for communication with the rest of the marshalls and control box. You just need to wear something suitable for what you are doing and bring something to eat and drink.
If any of you would be interested in volunteering then please get in touch with either myself or my wife and we can make arrangements with you.

The first event will take place on the 23rd March at Wickenby for round 1.

If you want to help out or want any more information please call me on 07799 435371 or Gill on 07940 528527

thanks very much

Martin and Gill

yeah they do, have a look at www.norc.co.uk you don't need to register to be able to look at their events etc. in the events section are all the dates and places for the races throughout the rest of this year. i think we will be attending most of them if you want to tag along with us

thanks
Gill (martins wife)

Hi Martin

I can do the Driffield meet and probably one of the days at Manby. Can you let me have details?

Ken
